I have also heard of guys using citronella lamp oil that they strain through cheese cloth 4-5 times. The only people I've seen use it are trumpet players, because I am still working off of the same bottle of pro-oil and/or Hetman's that are far from new. Those trumpet players burn through valve oil, so this is an attractive option (lamp oil). Also, it may help to keep those pesky mosquitos away in those outdoor concerts!
