Well, I don't care for any Miraphones at all. I would say that a good Miraphone BBb is better than the average Miraphone CC. I say this because many times the BBb will have a more characteristic dark Miraphone sound than the CC. If you like the Miraphone sound that is.
As for othere instrument manufactures I can't say. I really feel that on a good CC tuba you can get the tuba sound you need without the BBb muddiness. I realize now there are many great pro BBb that are non-muddy, but don't overlook the great CC's as well. I was reluctant to switch, and the first two weeks of my conversion I wanted to shoot myself, but now that I am a full CC player (as opposed to a half), I would never want to go back. Good Luck!
