Anyways, the reason (i think) why some people call Euphoniums a C instrument is because when you see a Bb on the page, the pitch that comes out of the end of horn is a Bb, when you see a C you get a C etc. But this doesn't mean that the instrument is a C instrument. The reason euphs are Bb is because their fundamental pitch (I think that's what it's called) is a Bb. When you play the first harmonic with open fingering you get a Bb. Hope that helped.
