The point that I was trying to make in my excessively long post was that calling concert pitch C only applies to treble clef instruments, not bass clef. Euphonium is a Bb instrument whether it is written in bass or treble clef, and the whole C instrument matter only applies to treble clef notation. When written in bass clef, a euph would only be considered a C instrument if that was its fundamental pitch, which it isn't. The whole "key of C" deal with the relationship between written notation and actual pitch confuses a lot of people because of its treble clef applications and methodology, but it just doesn't matter for bass clef instruments.
