It's about as close to a Helleberg copy as it gets without calling it a Helleberg. Ren Schilke's wife played tuba. After again and again telling him that she loved playing on the Conn Helleberg (orignial 1930s model which is smaller than the current Helleberg on the market) he decided to take the dimensions and design his own mouthpiece that may have been heavier, but shared many qualities of the Conn Helleberg. Through and through, I loved it because of it's great tone color that it produced. . .
