Maybe I just got lucky, but about 10 years ago I found a besson compensating euph (serial number 381629) for sale in the Des Moines Sunday Registar for $650. It isn't too pretty to look at- the lacquer is mottled- but it has no dents, the valves and slides work well, it plays pretty much in tune, with a nice sound. Jack
