I played a school-owned MW 25 for three years. I would suspect that there are better horns out there when it comes to intonation. I ended up using 3rd valve for d's and g's below the staff. Also, the 3rd and 4th partial (I think that's right) E/A's and Eb/Ab's would never be in tune at the same time (the e/eb's would have to be lipped down, I think). And D's and C's in the staff tended to be flat, but that is expected. Once I figured out all these idiosyncracies the horn worked well for me, but it took almost a year to get used to everything. BTW, this instrument is probably 10-15 years old (closer to 10, I think), so they may have fixed some of these problems by now.
