Arlington Symphony Audition Conflict

This post mainly goes out the the tubists in and around Washington D.C. who are faced with the dilemma of deciding whether to audition for Colorado Symphony or Arlington Symphony. Both organizations have chose to hold their audition on the SAME DAY (Sept. 10th). (Savannah Symphony holding it's tuba audition the day prior (Sept. 9th) doesn't help much either--that's 3 orchestral tuba auditions in 2 days!! Unprecedented!)

Anyway, I spoke to George Allen (trombonist, U.S. Army Band and member of the Arlington Symphony) about the situation. He wanted me to ask around and see if there is a sizeable number of other local tubists facing this same dilemma. So whether you've chosen the CO Symp. audition over Arlington or are going to take Arlington instead of CO, but wish you could do both, please post a reply here or email me privately, and I'll start assembling a list. Obviously, it is in Arlington Symphony's best interest to have as many people who want to audition ABLE to audition.

Thanks for your help.
Mike
