This summer I have been using a CC tuba in my city's community band. I think that it matches well with the other instruments. I would rather use my CC than my BBb because overall, it just sounds better. I get the kind of sound that our conductor was looking for in the rest of our tuba section(I'm the only one that uses a CC). Ask your conductor which he wants you to play. A CC tuba gives the bass of the band a much broader tone than a BBb. My choice would be the CC.
