Hey Danny,
The 2145 is a really SWEET horn. It is Meinl Weston's premier 4/4 CC tuba. It plays just like any other Meinl Weston I haved played. It has a wonderfully dark and colorful sound. A friend of mine from IC has one and he gets a great sound out of it. Normally I would say I disapprove of the "Big Valves" because of the wider than average hand-spread, BUT knowing that you are about 6'3" and have fairly large hands, it should NOT be a problem.
