You might also consider attending one or both weeks of the International Tuba-Euphonoim Workshop at the University of Okahoma next June. Sam, Deanna Swoboda, Tex Cox, and Brian Bowman are all excellent. There are opportunities each day to work with Sam on breathing techniques, jazz, and other concepts of tuba playing. You might even be able to to schedule a 1/2 hour one-on-one with Sam.
