I had several places that needed patching, so it was just strange looking before being buffed out. Hopefully the helicon spirits will forgive me. It plays extremely well, so I've been very happy with it. I don't know how common it is to find a helicon with four rotary valves, but that fouth valve makes a HUGE difference in the intonation of this particular helicon.
