It sounds like you are getting the most enjoyment out of your helicon, and that's what counts! Let's face it, they look kinda "different" anyway, so why not have a little fun. I'll bet that people remember it after they have seen it. Is it actually paint, or is it black laquer? If it's paint, what kind of paint is it?
