I went to WCU for my undergrad with Dr.Kroesche. All I have heard is that there are around 20(!) who have applied for the job. They are looking for someone who can teach trombone, euph, & tuba as well as direct one of the bands and teach some education classes. This is exactly what Dr. Kroesche did at WCU. I can not say who is "in the running" or if they are specifically looking for a euph/trb player because I do not know any of that to be a fact. However, it's good to see there is an ongoing interest in my old alma mater. If anyone has questions about the music department from a students perspective, feel free to e-mail me. I do not have any "inside" info on the job though, sorry, wish I did! Good luck to those that have applied!
