howdy,
not really a prestigious gig, but a fun one none-the-less. I played bass 'bone with a big band at a local festival. . . the only catch was that their bass player couldn't make it, so I ended up playing mostly bass guitar parts (yes down in the range that they should sound). . . never worn out my left hand on the triggers like that, but it was different and fun and quite a few people actually liked the sound. . . (and by the way, I am a tuba player, sorry this isn't really a tuba story, I don't get called for jazz gigs on tuba much. . .)
