Seriously, there could be several explanations, but a trip to the hearing specialist or a good ENT practicioner might be wise.

IF it is from too much noise exposure, hope it does not become a permanent fixture. As ear man said..it ain't nice and for the joker who followed up, (yes probably meant a bit of humor) that constant ringing on the 366th day of leap year can be just about enough to drive you absolutely, and certifiably mad.

A poster in an earlier thread wanted to know how to play deafeningly loud.simple, with a big gun pointed right at your head. Saves the rest of the world the nuisance and you go out with a real bang.
