I know exactly what you mean Ear Man...I have the constant ringing in both ears. For those of you out there that have not heard of this condition it is called tinnitus and can be very/extemely/incredibly annoying. Usually tinnitus is accompanied by hearing loss...but in my case, this did not occur. I have been checked out by an audiologist for each of the past three years and use musician plugs when conducting my high and middle school bands. I think I will take your advice, Ear Man, and simply wear them when I am playing in quintet. Thanks for the info and best of luck!
