Word in the industry has it that a large music store chain purchased the name. It has no real reason to resurrect a line of tubas at this time. It only wants the name to put on their own line of instruments. Keep watching for a "new" York to appear. Don't expect the instruments to be top of the line. In fact, the instruments are likely to be Chinese and lesser European instruments.
