Yes, Fritz Kaenzig did record the Hindemith Sonata and yes the recording is of very fine quality, but it is not on Mixed Doubles. That album was produced almost 15 years ago. He recorded the Hindemith about 5 years ago as a project of the complete instrumental sonatas of Paul Hindemith with other University of Michigan faculty. They are grouped by instrument type, in other words all brass sonatas are together and so forth. I am not even sure what the label is. Something more obscure.
