Mine, too. Gould was adamant about the tempos and as a respected member of the Hindemith Society, (not to mention astonishing musician!) I guess he would have known. Gould was one of the few pianists who DID have the technique to play at the indicated tempos and yet, he slowed down for musical reasons. I had never really heard the piece until I heard the Gould-Torchinsky version. There was a good interview with Mr. Torchinsky in the TUBA a few years back that covered the details of this recording nicely.
