I played one of the Willson Eb tubas a couple days ago. It is an awesome Eb tuba. However, it is an all around type of tuba. It has strength and power like a CC tuba and focus like an F. I don't think I could own one because it does have the characteristics of both and I already have a great CC tuba.

If I had to stay with just one tuba in one key (f, eb, c or bb). I would really be interested in that Willson. I believe it could be effective in Brass Band, Orchestra, Quintet. Maybe a bit huge for solo.... Personnally, I would prefer that my f sound like an f, and CC like a CC, Eb like an Eb (not a small CC).

It seems to be very well made/manufactured and physically a very HEAVY tuba.

Hope this helps.
