Hopefully you're calming down by now about it....a grad school that wants you will not penalize you for an F. One that does not want you will use it as an excuse. Either way, it seems ok. If a school doesn't want you, they'll find something other than the F to use as an excuse.
MA, who transferred as an undergrad with an F in chamber music (literally forgot to drop it) and found that the school that wanted me as a transfer, had hand-converted that F to an A on the transcript. All it took was one little stroke of the pen, and a Xerox machine. I didn't do it, they did!
