You have to be careful of some of these comparisons. Jacobs was a student when he bought the York. He bought it on time, paying for it with the proceeds of extra-curricular free-lance gigs, often played on string bass. Pokorny bought his Yorkbrunner after he was already an established orchestra pro. I believe he started his career with a 186 Miraphone--an instrument that is much closer to the real value of pro-model horns from 70 or 80 years ago.
