To clear up a few things i might ask for answers to these questions:

What is the inner diameter of the male bell to body connection (usually at the bell side) on the following models:

Conn 20K?

Conn 46K?

King Giant?

Giants of whatever other make?

I can tell, that this measurement of my 1927 Conn 40K is 183mm, which fairly accurately translates to 7-3/16" . The bore is . 734" (which according to the UMI site as well as to the non-manipulated illustration also is the bore of the 20K. Sorry Sam! Your .750" statement hardly can be true).

Of course I am partial towards my phenomenal 4 valved 40K. The dog breeders among you will know the term of "kennel blindness" (something affecting the breeders, not the dogs). I might suffer from that disease in its brass collector version, but honestly: the back branch of my 40K, the one leading to the bell knee, is of much larger bore dimensions than any King Giant or 20K, that I have seen illustrated.

Hence my inquery.

Klaus
