There are currently over 40 instruments in our house. My children account for only a few. My son started on trombone, so we got a cheap Besson to start with. We added a King 3B, with the F attachment, in High School. He dropped trombone and picked up guitar so now he has a "starter" electric guitar, a Takamine acoustic electric, a Gibson SG, and an epiphone 5 string bass. My wife has a Yamaha classic guitar and a Yamaha 12 string that were her fathers. My daughter started on flute, so of course she has the silver plated starter flute and her solid silver conservatory model. Then she switched to oboe and has the plastic one she started on and her wooden step up model, both Selmer.

Other than my son's trombones all the brass instruments are my fault. They include:
Conn 22J BBb tuba
Conn 20K BBb sousaphone
Conn Worcester BBb tuba (1893)
Conn 4 valve gold plated euphonium (1917)
Conn 18A cornet
Conn 18B trumpet
Conn 18H trombone
Conn 90G upright valve trombone
Henry Distin 1893 BBb tuba
Henry Distin 1894 BBb helicon
Henry Distin 1900 Eb tuba
Henry Distin 1896 euphonium
Henry Distin 1899 valve trombone
Henry Distin 1891 Bb tenor horn
Henry Distin 1902 cornet
Henry Distin 1902 altophone (mellophone)
Henry Distin 1886 alto horn (melody horn)
J.W. Pepper 1893 double bell euphonium
King (new) 2341 tuba
King 1949 double bell euphonium
