It's quite different from the York BBb Monster Bass pictured in the 1920's catalog of which I have copies. That catalog shows the smaller of the two upper branches behind the large top bow, not in front of it as in Joe's picture. The main tuning slide is also much longer in Joe's picture, and the third valve is folded up behind itself rather than being looped as in Joe's picture. There are other differences, too.

That doesn't mean it isn't a York, of course. I have no idea how much these varied over the years.
