I know that, sometimes, a mouthpiece just isn't a good "fit" for a horn. It might throw the response out of whack, limit dynamic range, or introduce some poor intonation.
Conversely, is it possible for a mouthpiece to be a very good fit? For example, can a different mouthpiece, or certain portion of one (cup, throat, backbore, etc.), fix an apparently chronic intonation problem?
