As of last monday when i had a lesson with Randy Montgomery, He and Charles Villarubia are the two front runners. (there both doing a great job. I live in the area and i've seen them play with bso a few times this year.) However The "Orchestra of Indecision" (quote Patrick Sheridon) is real afraid no name either of those guys as principal and they will be holding yet another audition and the end of this year or the begging of the next or something like that. Not sure about Vienna.
