Pay attention to the angle of the mpc shank to your face, when you are getting a good, easy sound in the mouthpiece. Make sure that when you put the mouthpiece in the tuba to play, that you have retained this angle. One of the causes of excessive pressure is a wrong angle to face of the mouthpiece, due to the ergonomics of the player-instrument interface.
