Another thing to note. I started playing trombone (in 5th and 6th grade), then switched to baritone (through my senior year). I've just started playing (euphonium) again after 15 years off. I picked up my old trombone and tried playing that. I seem to run out of air quicker on the trombone than with the euphonium. It may be the lower resistance with the trombone (basically only two bends as opposed to several on the euphonium). And I will definitely agree with the other posters, there is a huge difference in tone.
