My experience with the PT-6P's has been similar to yours; it's very frustrating. I think my problem is with the valve guides- they wear away much sooner than I expect them to. Some people have said there are burrs in the casings that cause the guides to be ripped up; I'd concur with that. Smoothing out the plastic guides with a file seems to help my horns.
