Mark at Mr. Tuba is quoting me 2,000 British Pounds for Miraphone 186 in "fair condition" that "blows very well indeed." "The lacquer is good and not many dents," and it comes with a used gig bag. With the currency exchange it comes to about $3,260 US. Any thoughts? This MAY be the best deal I've found yet in Europe (although I haven't seen the thing yet).

Also, he has a Meinl Weston 2145 he's offering it at 5,000 British Pounds, hard case included. This total comes to over $8K US. Definetly a better deal in the states...

I'm still anxiously waiting responses from half a dozen music outlets across Europe. Oddly enough, the first response I received was from here in Russia (Petersburg). They're offering me a Miraphone for 7,047 Euros! It's outrageous, but I guess if you're Russian, it's the best option you have (visas and travel money to go to Europe or the US are hard to come by for them). Yet another thing that makes me thankful that I'm American...
