That's true, the original seller and I had contact and I was told they had an offer to buy the horn from someone in either Arkansas or Texas, I can't exactly recall. This was a very nice seller and I detected no dishonesty. They ended the auction early simply because the potential buyer agreed to pay exactly what they were asking (the original auction, I believe, had a reserve) and so as to expedite the sale they closed the auction early and proceeded. The reason I remember all this is because I'm located in Ft. Lauderdale and one of my students was given first option to purchase that horn. He couldn't come up with the money so the deal was done elsewhere.

This current auction could also be a case of someone using somebody else's photos in their own auction. Not everybody owns a digital camera and it wouldn't be the first time this sort of thing has occurred.

My opinion for what it's worth...
