We had something similar happen to one of our 14K's at band camp. Some girls were chasing a fat trumpet player, and he tripped onto the bell rim shoulder first. A full quarter of the bell was folded into a point pointing to the inside of the bell. Had he fallen on the Jupiter that was nearby, he could have broken his shoulder, as the metal they use must be brass-plated steel.
