Has anyone else got a copy of the new Steven Mead CD, "Bravura!", yet? I got mine last night. It was recorded with my band , The Fairey Band, and is conducted by Howard Snell. I am very impressed by the recording (although I'm bound to be biased....!) and Steven has yet again pushed some boundaries! The CD was recorded in 1 (yes ONE!) day in February this year, and you can buy it from his site ( www.euphonium.net ) or www.worldofbrass.com as well as many other places I presume. It features 2 concertos and a duet and quartet with all parts multitracked by Steven. The track listing is:-

Programme info:

Hail Ancient Walls ... Gounod, arr. Snell
Euphonium Concerto No. 2 ... John Golland
Arbucklenian Polka ... Hartmann
Sicilienne ... Paradies, arr. Snell
Concerto ... Vladimir Cosma, arr. Meredith
Lento from Cello Concerto ... Elgar, arr. Bourgeois
Fantasy on Moto Perpetuo ... Pagannini, arr. Snell
(euphonium duet and band, both parts played by Mead)
Bravura Variations for Euphonium Quartet and band ... Peter Graham (all four parts played by Mead)

Any comments on the CD are welcome!
