I recently found a Besson 2-20 at a pawn shop for an extremely reasonable price. My daughter in middle school wants to switch to tuba or euphonium, so we bought it. It is about 31 in. long and has a 12 inch bell. Is this a 3/4 tuba? Also, the open note sounds on Eb. Does this mean that it is an Eb tuba? The local music stores in my area do not know what it is, as they pretty much rent trumpets, trombones, and sell electric guitars. I am a woodwind and string player who knows nothing about brass, except that the price was too good to pass up on.
