This reminds me of possibly the funniest ensemble I have ever taken part in. My college choir combined with choirs from all over in Salt Lake City to sing a massive concert of opera choruses in the Tabernacle, with organ and amplified full orchestra. During the ANVIL CHORUS, the ANVIL PLAYER got lost, missed his entrance then decided he would try to catch up by playing somewhere between the offbeats and the downbeats, but not once on cue for at least five measures.
I wish I had a recording of that concert...
