I'm able to piece this much together, I think: The Laskey 30H is a bigger m.p. than the Floyd Cooley Helleberg, which, in turn, is a bigger m.p. than the Conn 7B Helleberg (according to a previous post), and yet the horn is still blowing a bit sharp on the main tuning slide when using the Laskey. No one has yet to say that they've tried this horn with the m.p. that it's shipped with: the Dennis Wick 1L. That's a pretty darn big m.p. - one of my favorites. Anyway, if it's still blowing sharp with the Laskey (I've never even seen one of these), then it's little wonder that the 7B Helleberg would be considered a less than ideal match. Maybe I'm way off base, but that seems somewhat logical to me.
