Steven - Check out the VHS tape of Paul Hindemith conducting the CSO from April 1963. It is an amazing videotape with performances of Hindemith, Bruckner and Brahms. Unlike many of those other VAI releases it was recorded in Orchestra Hall(as opposed to a TV studio). The fidelity is good (not DVD great, but good) and here are some excellent shots of all the "guys", including Herseth, Cichowicz, Lambert, Crisafulli, Kleinhammer and Jacobs. It is well worth the money.
As an aside there is some historical interest in this tape because Jacobs and Herseth always said they (the orchestra) learned to play Bruckner from Hindemith conducting them. So it is excellent to see him leading them in the first movement of Bruckner's Symphony #7. There is also an intermission interview with Hindemith. Six months after that performance Hindemith passed away.
All in all it is a VERY cool video. I highly recommend it.
