I say this with the best of intentions and not to offend. My wife had a horrible snoring problem. The kind that made my chainsaw seem quiet. She underwent 2 sleep tests and measured at apnea just below the level for her cut-rate insurance to cover surgery. She used a dental appliance for several months and it helped somwehat but did not fix everything. Finally an unrelated health problem forced her to begin losing weight, as she was deemed medically obese - I just thought she had great curves ;)

After about 30 pounds of weight loss, her snoring is almost gone. She counts EVERY calorie and maintains a strict log of everything she eats on her Palm pilot while walking 20-30 minutes a day, and continues to lose 1-2 pounds every week.

I have never met you and have no idea how thick or thin you are, but I have heard from many others as well that their weight loss alleviated or even eliminated chronic snoring.
I just wanted to pass along this information as an alternative to surgery.

Good luck.
