I used a Conn Helleberg and 7B for years. Replaced them with a MF 2 and 3 and couldn't be happier with the results. I use the MF3 for large groups and the MF2 for quintets and jazz to get a lighter sound. Works great for me! A friend is currently trying out an MF1 on his CC and likes it a lot. For you central California people, I think Tony Clements has a set at his Low Brass Werks if you would like to try one.
