The Besson CC is very similar (although not completely) to the Nirschl 4/4 C. I've heard the sound on it is velvety... it is also very mouthpiece sensitive. Intonation and sound characteristics change quite dramatically with the mouthpiece used. I've heard the DW 1L works well with it.

The Alexander CC is a typical German rotor horn with the characteristic Alex sound. Still one of the finest horns on the market. Don't know about mouthpiece sensitivity, but the construction on it is quite durable if I remember correctly.

Either of these horns are worth a look-see. It all depends on if you want a piston or rotor horn.
