If you are using CPAP, you likely have sleep apnea. Symptoms include snoring, daytime sleepiness, morning headaches, etc. If you haven't had a sleep test (polysomnography), that may be a good place to start. In general, CPAP is a much better treatment for sleep apnea than any surgical procedure. This is because the problem is generally not only in your palate but also in the nose, base of tongue, etc. Palate surgery may relieve snoring but will most likely not cure sleep apnea. As for alternative treatments, I would be careful - herbs and other treatments have not been through the rigorous testing of other traditional medications and treatments. Hope this helps.
