Buescher tuba

I just purchased the buescher tuba recently posted on e-bay. My intentions were:
1. If a good horn, possilbly cut into a CC and convert bell to upright.
2. If a great horn, leave it a BBb and convert belll.
3. If less than respectable horn, lick my wounds and write this off as an expensive lesson learned!

To my dismay, this is an absolutely fantastic horn, and in near mint condition (plays better than any BBb I have ever played, and I have been offered considerably more than I have invested). I cannot in good conscience have this bell cut into an upright as there are so few of these in anywhere near as nice of condition. Now my options have changed and I am looking for an upright bell for this baby.

If you know of an old Buescher upright bell, or know of a bell I might be able to make work please contact me. This is a VERY heavy horn so older conns or kings might work best (though I don't know this for sure). Made in the 30's (or so I have been told), this horn deserves to be played, as well as kept in the original condition. If you can help me out on tis one I would appreciate it greatly.

Bryan
