Measure the bell size. The C43-5S(3/4) is 17". The C45-5S(4/4) is 18". The C50-5S(5/4) is 20". The C43-5S is considered a 3/4 by Rudolph Meinl but it compares to many small 4/4 horns. With enough breath support and the right mouthpeice, it will produce enough sound to keep most people happy.
