It runs equally well on either a MAC or a PC. The more memory, the better. It will run in Windows with 16 MB of memory but 32 MB makes a huge difference. The best printed output will, of course, be obtained on a laser printer, but an ink-jet will work, too. Dot matrix printers won't do it. $300-400 is a good price but you can do a lot better if you're an educator. The learning curve is kind of high but this product does just about everthing you'd want to do with music notation, and it's well supported by both the vendor and third parties who supply products that work with it.
