Haven't tried the Jacobs (which is a Helleberg copy), but I can recommend the Schilke Helleberg II, which I use on my King 2341. American tubas seem to respond well with funnel shaped mouthpieces, even the dreaded Bach 24AW (or copies, which are stock on many American tubas and sousaphones except the Conn 20K, which gets a Conn 2 -- a Helleberg cup with a 'modern' funnel shaped outside) is a deep, relatively funnel shaped, cup.
