I would seriously look at the Rudolf Meinl 3/4 BBb. I haven't actually played a BBb version of their 3/4 horn but I have played a number of their 3/4 CC tubas and they are, in my opinion, the best 3/4 out there. They feature quality construction, good intonation, and a very rich sound. I even have students who use the 3/4 CC as their primary instrument, even in large orchestral settings. The 3/4 Rudy is an exceptionally versatile tuba. Good luck!
