Mouthpiece buzzing can be one of the most beneficial parts of practicing. There are a few "do"s and "don't"s however:
Do
-Use plenty of air; it's free
-Buzz your music; if you can make it sound good on a mp, just wait till it comes out the bell!
Don't
-Use excessive pressure while buzzing; this is true while playing as well, but mp buzzing can let you discover bad pressure habits quickly.
