It's easy to make a conversion from a sousaphone to a helicon. Basicaly all you do is remove a sousie' bell and the curved section below it and replace it with a straight bell from an upright tuba. I have heard usually an Eb bell works well for this. I am sure all of the repair guy's on the list can provide additional details to this, but that is about it. I recently purchased a horn with this conversion and found that it works and looks great!
